University Startups is launching a new asynchronous course to help students understand and implement the basics of what employers are looking for in these important soft skill areas. The Professionalism & Work Ethic course teaches them proper professional employee etiquette, including how to communicate via email and meetings, how to dress as they hope to be perceived, and how to be a reliable coworker. Students can bring these skills with them for the rest of their professional careers.
The course is aimed at school districts, schools, colleges and nonprofit organizations that want to help students prepare for successful entry into the workforce at any level. With 6 modules requiring 60 minutes each and mini assignments included, the course can be easily delivered fully asynchronously or lightly facilitated in a classroom or online environment. Participating students also receive invites to a virtual Impact Internship Program at University Startups and 24/7 access to an extensive library of online courses for college, career, and entrepreneurship success.
