University Startups brings Passion Projects to Anne Arundel Public Library

University Startups partnered with Anne Arundel Public Library to host a virtual event “Turn Your Passion and Social Media Platforms into a Side Hustle” aimed at the teen population. This event provided individuals with techniques and tools to explore a passion project and advice from experienced professionals on how to make it a revenue-generating reality. The program featured Ashwath Narayanan and his team at Social Currant, an emerging media agency, who shared stories about their entrepreneurship journey.

“Anne Arundel County Public Library is excited to support the needs of our teen customers by helping them get access to the tools they need to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams,” said Johanna Doty, librarian at Odenton Library. Surveys showed that 86% of the students that attended the event are interested in pursuing their passion project.

“University Startups is thrilled to partner with organizations like Anne Arundel County Public Library to reach populations of young adults who are looking to expand their horizons and build a pathway to success,” said Mike Malloy, Employment Search Expert at University Startups.

This webinar content can also be formatted as an asynchronous mini course hosted online. To learn more about University Startups, contact Marc Steren and msteren@university-startups.com.
